The students can apply the knowledge gained through the lacture as well as self-studies and transfer this knowledge to problems given.

They can carry out calculations independantly dealing with different subjects of materials science. Therefore, they are able to decide which formulas allow the calculation based on the question given.

Theyare able to discuss aspects of materials science both quantitatively and qualitatively and can present these results oraly.
