The Battery Competence Cluster Analytics / Quality Assurance (AQua) aims at the joint development of methods, strategies and standards for analytics and quality assurance in the production of batteries. For this purpose, each production step is examined individually, so as to identify and isolate possible sources of error. The reaction to known errors during ongoing production can thus be optimised and automated. These competences contribute to improving the performance of batteries, while at the same time taking into account a long service life and high safety.

AQua is part of the BMBF's umbrella concept "Battery Research Factory", whose objectives are to sustainably support battery research, establish battery cell production in Germany and accelerate the transfer of research results into applications.
