Research

Electrocatalytic water splitting is currently one of the most promising reactions to produce "green" hydrogen in a decarbonised energy system. To increase the performance of the limiting oxygen evolution reaction, highly active and stable catalysts containing iridium and ruthenium are used.  In this scientific context, my research includes microkinetic modeling to analyse electrochemical processes at the surface of Ir:Ru electrodes.
