Research

Dr.-Ing Qing Gong is a post-doc researcher at KIT-IAM-ET. His research focuses on the electrochemical methods application in the field of Power-to-X (X = Heat, Electrochemical and Chemicals). Currently, he manages a subproject of GDE4OES under ETOS project. He studies reaction principles and reaction kinetics involved in electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO2RR), to synthesize high-value organic chemicals.

Qing Gong completed his PhD studies at German Aerospace Center (DLR) in the field of high-temperature thermal energy storage with molten chloride salt. He obtained his PhD in Energy Storage Technology from University of Stuttgart (Germany) with “summa cum laude” (distinction) in 2023.
