Research

Main topic of my research activities is the electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide to CO at gas-diffusion electrodes. This technology provides the conversion of CO₂ as a carbon source to useful chemicals or fuels and might help closing the CO₂ cycle. Dynamic modeling and simulation at micro- and macrokinetic scale enable the analysis, the detailed understanding, and the optimization of the whole system.
