Welcome to IAM-ET

Electrochemical Technologies are essential pillars of the transition towards a renewable energy system and electromobility, but also towards a sustainable production of fuels and chemicals. At the Institute for Applied Materials – Electrochemical Technologies, we thrive to shape the way we will store energy and produce electricity, fuels or sustainable chemicals. Our long-standing expertise includes in particular the analysis and optimization of a wide range of electrochemical (energy) technologies from batteries and fuel cells to electrolysis and electrosynthesis. Our method developments and virtual tools allow knowledge-driven enhancement of the performance and durability of the technologies. Fundamentals, methods and practical insights into electrochemical technologies are the focus of our teaching.

We would like to invite you to explore our website and learn more about our research and teaching activities at IAM-ET (formerly IAM-WET).
